This course emphasizes therapeutic communication skills, critical thinking and therapeutic nursing care in a variety of mental health settings. Legal and ethical considerations for the nurse and mental health client are also included. Experiences may include acute inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community settings and may include substance abuse treatment facilities.
