Child Life Clinical Experience

Catalog description

Prerequisites: Senior standing; HEC 3570; HEC 4550, Minimum 3.0 GPA overall and 3.0 GPA in HEC major.. Supervised clinical (internship) experience in a health care facility to develop clinical child life skills. Direct supervision by a Certified Child Life Specialist in good standing with and meeting supervisor qualifications of the Association of Child Life Professionals is required. In order to meet the Association of Child Life Professionals' eligibility requirements to sit for the Child Life Certification Exam, the child life clinical experience must be a minimum of 600 hours.
