Catalog description

Development of the national park idea as a uniquely American idea that has spread to nationals all over the globe. The concept of national parks has led to other protected land designations including state and federal forest reserves, state parks, nature preserves and natural areas, and wildlife refuges and preserves. Students enrolled in the 5000-level course will be required to complete additional work as stated in the syllabus.
