Prerequisite: CEE 3110. Introduction to mechanics of fibrous, laminated composites. Micromechanics, mechanical properties, stiffness and strength, and classical laminate theory. Thermal and moisture effects. Effective engineering properties of laminates. Failure theories, design criteria, and computational implementation.
