Using plants as models, this course explores how organisms perceive environmental cues to alter cellular developmental programming. Students gain proficiency with molecular databases and data interpretation while learning to develop and test hypotheses about environmental impacts. Topics include gene regulation, transcription factors, non-coding RNAs, and cellular signal integration mechanisms.
