Catalog description

Art 3625 explores the designing of cloth through techniques and methods of printing, including: mono-printing, silkscreen printing, and block printing. Students will be introduced to a variety of technical processes through demonstrations and hands-on learning. They will learn about contemporary practices in fiber art through readings, lectures, and research. Students will learn the vocabulary and language of Fiber through critiques and a material-based process of making. Individual instruction will be given to students to accommodate project ideas and oversee projects through completion.
