Digital Technologies in Art Education examines the role of computers and digital technologies as a tool for artmaking, creative inquiry, and teaching in art education. The course emphasizes the visual, conceptual, and practical use of digital technologies for making and teaching art. The course addresses philosophical topics related to technology, digital imagery, and social media. All studio projects are experimental, without step-by-step instructions, to encourage creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
