This lab emphasizes the practical application of soil physical, chemical, and biological properties as they relate to plant growth, the environment, and the soil's place in our daily lives. The course is intended to familiarize students with the importance of soils to humans and the environment through study of soil formation, distribution, physical and chemical properties, fertility, and environmental quality.
