The Rural Health III course is a 2.5-hour elective conducted in the Spring semester of the third professional (P3) year. Rural Health III is the third and final course in the trilogy series designed to prepare future pharmacists with the expertise to practice in rural healthcare settings. This course will further examine rural health disparities and its impact on population health, and train students to design, implement, and evaluate evidence-based interventions in rural pharmacy practice settings. This course will culminate in students promoting healthcare access by creating and designing an evidence-based health intervention in a rural pharmacy practice setting, using project materials from prior rural health trilogy coursework. This course is for students in the Rural Health Certificate program and who have completed Rural Health I and II.
