Catalog description
This required course serves as a comprehensive evaluation of student readiness for progression to Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPEs) and the fourth professional year. Building on prior integrative and practice-readiness coursework, the course assesses the knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes developed across the didactic curriculum. Assessment methods include examinations, objective structured clinical examinations (OSCEs), other performance based assessments, and professional development activities. Students will demonstrate achievement of programmatic outcomes related to foundational sciences, person-centered care using the Pharmacists’ Patient Care Process, the medication-use process, problem-solving, communication, and professional development. Satisfactory completion of this course signifies readiness to begin APPEs and transition to advanced pharmacy practice.
