This required course integrates principles of health outcomes, pharmacoeconomics, health systems management, and leadership to prepare students for decision-making roles in pharmacy practice. Students will examine how pharmacists use data, research evidence, and outcomes to inform strategic planning, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical, operational, and policy decisions. The course emphasizes innovation in practice models, outcomes based quality improvement, and sustainable service delivery through billing and reimbursement strategies. Students will explore how to evaluate, implement, and sustain new pharmacy services, including navigating healthcare payment systems and reimbursement models. Students will develop the skills to lead practice innovations, apply billing and service documentation processes, evaluate for new services, and contribute to advancing the profession of pharmacy.
