This required course is the fourth introductory pharmacy practice experience (IPPE) in the pharmacy program. The Applied Therapeutics I IPPE builds on PHCY 1106 (IPPE I: Introduction to Patient Care). P2 students are assigned to a clinical patient care setting and practice application of the pharmacists’ patient care process to assigned patients. Students actively participate in weekly discussions in the care of patients and understand the role of the pharmacist in the healthcare team. May repeat one time.
