This required course provides a comprehensive introduction to the principles of immunology and antimicrobial therapy, essential for understanding the body’s defense mechanisms and the pharmacological management of infectious diseases. The course will explore the components of the immune system, immune responses, and the role of vaccines and immunotherapy in disease prevention and treatment. Additionally, the course will cover the classification, mechanisms of action, spectrum of activity, resistance patterns, and appropriate use of anti-infectives.
