Catalog description

This required course builds on the Molecular Foundations of Drug Action course to connect anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology with the pharmacology and medicinal chemistry of several common drug classes that are used for broad therapeutic applications. Students will gain a foundational understanding of how the molecular and physicochemical properties of drugs affect how the drugs are formulated, their actions in the body, and the body’s responses to them.
