Catalog description

This required course provides the fundamental concepts of biochemistry to understand the biological basis of human health and disease, and the mechanisms of drug action. The course then transitions to the essentials of drug action, including how a drug is formulated and elicits a pharmacological response, using physicochemical properties to predict drug action, and the fate of a drug within the body.
