Catalog description

This course is a Lecture and Lab experience in cytopreparation of gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens. Special emphasis is given to fine needle aspiration material, special stains, techniques of fixation, and cell block preparation. Adjunctive techniques applicable to cytopathology such as immunocytochemistry, FISH, ISH, and HPV DNA testing methods will also be presented.
