Catalog description
The D4 Oral Diagnosis Clinic emphasizes the development of the dental student’s clinical judgment and patient management skills. Students examine patients, perform risk assessments (overall health and oral risks), expose and interpret radiographs, and elaborate on differential diagnoses, with minimal faculty supervision as compared to the D3 year. Competency in patient interviewing skills, diagnosis of caries, oral pathology, and radiographic interpretation is emphasized. Section B is a continuation of Section A, which is offered in the Fall semester.
