Catalog description

The D3 Oral Diagnosis Clinic focuses on the dental student’s development of patient interviewing skills, medical history review, and risk assessment determination. Additionally, students learn clinical examination skills, the ability to expose and interpret radiographs, and how to accurately document in the Electronic Patient Record (EPR). Students work under close supervision. Competency in intraoral and extraoral examinations, radiographic technique and interpretation, caries detection, and oral pathology are achieved. Section B is a continuation of Section A, which is offered in the Fall semester.
