Catalog description

This course introduces students to the complexities, history, and terminology of Asian politics by comparing the political processes in various countries. The evolution of political institutions in the various case studies are examined as well as the role of political parties/movements, interest groups, the development of nationalism, and the role of ideology in state building. In addition the history of the various case studies and their significance within the international system are examined. 3 CIP 28.45.1001.00
