Introduction to Nursing Informatics

Catalog description

This course provides a theoretical basis and clinical experience in the area of nursing informatics and health information systems. The course will explore how nurses use information science, nursing science, and computer science to provide safe and effective care. Emphasis is also made on the application of knowledge in working with the various health care information systems in today’s highly technical clinical settings. Students will link with nursing informatics clinical experts.
