History of Asians in America

Catalog description

The history of Asians in America will focus on pivotal moments in the history of Asians in America. As Asia is a large continent, the course will include narratives that cover East, Southeast, and South Asia with an emphasis on their journeys to and lives within the United States of America. In addition to exploring the law, race and ethnic studies scholarship will be used as the theoretical framework to understand the identities that comprise Asian America. No prior knowledge of Asian languages is required.
