Black Women’s History (3) An introduction to Black women’s history and historiography from 1619 to the present. This course examines the myriad experiences of Black women in the Western hemisphere via an engagement with Black feminist theory and a specific focus on the intersection of race, class, gender, sexuality, disability, and religion. the primary purpose of this course is to allow students to study the specific experience of Black women as integral members of diverse communities.
