Health Information Project Management

Catalog description

This course develops leadership skills in strategic planning and project management as it relates to healthcare systems. Students will apply project management techniques that lead to efficient workflow and successful outcomes of health information technology implementation. Through the collection and interpretation of data, the student will discuss how to measure and monitor progress to ensure that project deliverables re on time, within budget, and meet expectations. Students will identify Human Resource requirements, organizational structure, and team-building characteristics.
