(Formerly HCA 420) The application of management and leadership development techniques to the administration of health care facilities will be examined. This course will explore various administrative management elements and leadership strategies within the health care systems approach to decision making, including the establishment of management principles relevant to complex and normative organizations. Additionally, students will discuss the importance of understanding demographic changes in the workforce and patient populations. The curriculum will also address different levels of administrative management and leadership development, essential to effective health care administration.
