Catalog description

A survey of the geographic regions of the world, including studies of the physical characteristics of the land, environmental challenges, resources, demographics, economics, politics, and cultures. The course is designed to provide a general background in world geography and covers the following world regions: Europe, North America, Latin America, and Russia and its neighboring countries. It is required for history majors, geography minors, and some teacher education programs. The course may be applied toward the Social Science requirement of the General Education Core.
