Catalog description
A comprehensive study of surface and underground mining methods, equipment selection, mine planning and design, production scheduling, and operational considerations. Topics include mine design and planning, drilling and blasting, and an introduction to mine drainage. The theory of the operation of mining equipment and its selection and materials handling will also be discussed with a focus on economics, reliability, maintenance, and safety, including technical presentations and case studies from active mining operations. 3
