Matlab Based Programming for Engineers

Catalog description

The course introduces students to the engineering problem-solving methodology. The students will learn how to create programs, debug and run them in a Matlab environment; learn problem-solving with built-in and user-defined Matlab functions, how to use user-defined inputs and formatted output; use of debugging tools, logical functions, and repetitive structures such as for and while loops; learn problem-solving with matrix algebra, graphical tools to visualize data in 1D, 2D and 3D plots and how to create graphical user interface (GUI). SIMULINK environment and creating programs using SIMULINK will also be introduced in the course.
