Parenting/Practical Steps to Childrearing

Catalog description

A course in which students outline and examine contemporary problems of childrearing and focus on systematic and scientific methods of parenting. Subject areas to be examined are child abuse, socialization practices among various cultures, myths and misconceptions about effectiveness of punishment, the rights of children, principles of behavioral modification and parents of children with special needs.
