Senior Practicum Internship

Catalog description

Field experience consisting of supervised work in an appropriate criminal justice institution or agency. Students will complete approximately 160 hours of field experience over the semester. In addition, students will complete approximately 100-110 hours of academic work, including weekly discussions, reflective journal entries, and a final paper integrating field experiences with course concepts and peer-reviewed literature. Total student work is estimated at approximately 260-270 hours, consistent with expectations for a 6-credit course. The course is typically completed during the student’s senior year and is required of all Criminal Justice majors. The course is required of all Criminal Justice majors.
