This course offers an in-depth exploration of design history from diverse cultural viewpoints, emphasizing marginalized narratives and non-Western methodologies and ideas. Students will critically examine design evolution across various cultures, challenging dominant narratives and exploring alternative perspectives. Through case studies, discussions, and projects, students will analyze the role of culture in shaping design practices, aesthetics, and ideologies.
