Catalog description

The Building Mechanical System Design is to apply engineering principles to the design of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for buildings, including air distribution systems, air handling units, coils and heat exchangers, water distribution systems, and primary systems. Students will design the selected HVAC systems for given buildings according to ASHRAE Standards 55, 62.1, and 90.1. Topics include design and sizing of basic components in HVAC systems, such as air distribution systems, water distribution systems, and heating and cooling sources. AREN 3011
