Catalog description

This course provides an overview of the scientific foundations of climate change, with emphasis on atmospheric processes, the greenhouse effect, carbon cycling, and the role of human activities. Students will examine physical evidence of climate change, analyze historical temperature trends, and evaluate changes in atmospheric CO2 concentrations. The course also explores major sources of greenhouse gases, potential environmental and societal impacts, and global responses to climate change. Through data analysis and a final project, students will develop skills in interpreting climate data and applying scientific understanding to real-world challenges.
