Catalog description

Pests, diseases, and weeds have plagued mankind since the beginning of agriculture. Even with modem equipment and methodology, the impact of pests, diseases, and weeds can be devastating. GIS and spatial analysis offer an essential set of tools for use in pest management. This course introduces students to the concepts of pest management and then presents the geospatial tools needed to effectively and efficiently design, implement, and refine a successful pest management program.
