Catalog description

This course focuses on training students for their remote pilot (drone) certification. It covers the material needed to pass the FAA exam including airport operations, weather, laws and regulations, physiological factors and risk management, forces on an aircraft, and aeronautical charts. Students will have multiple opportunities to fly a drone and engage in mapping using drone imagery. They will also learn about different uses for drones, including how they can be used in agriculture and the cooperative extension program, and different types of drones, sensors, and software.
