Youth Leadership Experiences

Catalog description

The course is designed to prepare educators and leaders for responsibilities associated with youth leadership development and related activities in 1) school-based agricultural education (i.e. high school and/or middle school), 2) non-formal extension education (extension/4-H), and in community development. Topics to be covered include program organization and content identification, preparation of objectives and strategic plans for youth organizations, youth organization management, as well as youth personal leadership development (FFA/4-H), experiential learning (SAE), and service learning.
