Information Sys Analysis-SP

Catalog description

A study of the knowledge and skills needed to conduct the definition and analysis phases of an information system project. Central concepts are quality management and business process reengineering. Problem definition, information gathering, user experience modeling, data and process modeling, and specification of logical system requirements using a business event methodology are emphasized. Learning is by doing: a major project is begun in this course and completed in SYS 394. Prerequisites: Junior standing; COS 109 or SYS 101; and COS 120 or COS 130 or SYS 120. Meets foundational core speaking (SP) requirement.
