This course centers on the principles of interpreting scripture for preparing effective communication while offering training in tactical steps of sermon preparation including text and topic choice, commentary study, historical and cultural study, review of original languages, outlining, and delivery modes. The course expands the bounds beyond Western culture to global approaches to scripture interpretation and sermon preparation. Prerequisites: BIB 110 and BIB 210.
