Complex Nursing Care

Catalog description
Explores professional nursing practice and its role in health promotion and disease prevention in complex populations. Focuses on holistic nursing care with in-depth exploration of nursing responsibilities and healthcare needs of complex patients with rapidly changing health conditions and critical illnesses. Concepts and course related exemplars are applied to complex situations to enhance clinical reasoning skills. Knowledge of advanced technologies and the nurse’s role in care coordination with interprofessional healthcare teams is emphasized. Majors only. Prerequisites: NUR 355, NUR 375, and NUR 385. Corequisites: NUR 415, NUR 425, and NUR 430. Offered in Fall semester.
