Discrete Math for Computer Sci

Catalog description

Discrete mathematics concepts are studied that are foundational for further study in computer science. Topics include propositional logic and quantifiers, proofs with emphasis on induction, relations and functions on sets, graph theory, solution of certain classes of recurrence and equivalence relations, combinatorics and discrete probabilty Prerequisites: COS 120 or COS 130 or SYS 120; and MAT 146 or MAT 151.
