Catalog description
An exploration of the principles and applications of audio for film and media production. Topics discussed include sound theory, microphones, audio fundamentals, signal flow, recording, and editing with Avid Pro Tools. Emphasis is on communicating and producing creative and technically excellent work for commercials, interviews, podcasts, long-form audio storytelling, and Foley/sound design. Meets a foundational core aesthetic literacy requirement. Offered Fall and Spring semesters.
