Engineering for Missions and Sustainable Construction

Catalog description

This course provides a comprehensive exploration of sustainable construction practices in the United States and across global contexts. Students examine innovative building materials, efficient energy systems, and current advancements in sustainable construction, with attention to diverse stakeholders, availability of local materials, and the long term feasibility of maintenance. Emphasis is placed on evaluating real world applications and critically reviewing emerging sustainable technologies and methods. May include a field topographical survey experience.
