Catalog description

This course covers engineering analysis of concentrated and distributed force systems under static conditions. Emphasis is placed on applying physical laws to engineering problems through systematic problem solving, clear diagramming, and analytical reasoning. Topics include resultant forces, truss analysis, moments, and shear and bending moment diagrams. Prerequisites: MAT 151; and PHY 203 or PHY 211. Offered Fall semester.
