Catalog description

A course designed to equip the elementary education student with a basic understanding of the teaching concepts associated with physical (health and safety practices), mental, social, and emotional learning. Trauma-Informed, resilience-oriented care will be fundamental content of the areas of physical education, health, and safety as well as teaching methods are explored. Meets foundational core stewardship of the body requirement beyond KIN 100. Prerequisite: KIN 100. Open to Elementary Education and Public Health majors only or permission of instructor.
