Catalog description
The study of minute structure, composition, and function of tissues. Students will learn tissue recognition and gain insight into their normal physiological function, while potentially exploring abnormal tissue developments associated with pathological dysfunctions. Lab will focus on the procurement and freezing of tissues, tissue sectioning and staining, and immunohistochemistry. Prerequisites: BIO 201 and BIO 310; or permission of the instructor.
