Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to build upon the foundation course in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages for students in integrated teacher education programs. The goal of this course is to link the theory and practice for effective teaching of English Language Learners students. The course will focus primarily on methods, curriculum, and assessment of ELL students. This course requires field experience in the public schools with at least one ESOL student.
