Principles of Radiographic Exposure II

Catalog description
This course provides advanced, comprehensive instruction and discussion in principles of radiographic exposure, x-ray tubes, principles of image intensification and fluoroscopy, digital imaging, and the production and characteristics of radiation. Technique charts, principles of darkroom processing, and topics in quality assurance are included. Advanced principles of radiographic exposure will also be presented to include the prime factors, image appearance standards of density, contrast, recorded detail, and distortion, grids, AEC, beam limitation and scatter radiation. This course provides an opportunity to apply radiographic exposure principles in the energized laboratory, including digital radiography, radiographic technique, and trauma radiography. Students must achieve a grade of at least 75% in this course to advance in the program. Does not count toward A.A. degree.
