Catalog description

This course introduces the role of the emergency medical technician. It is designed to teach students to employ critical thinking skills to assess a patient scenario, create a plan of care and implement the plan. Topics include public health, anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, patient assessment, airway management, trauma, toxicological and environmental emergencies, submersion incidents, and infection control.
