Introduction to Digital Media

Catalog description

This survey course introduces the student to the foundation concepts of contemporary digital media design, highlighting the importance of process, innovation and communication. Topics to be covered include OS configurations, principles of video and audio editing, graphic design theories, a survey of web-based design languages. Students will explore both design and alternative applications of digital media technologies looking at the past and the future as an insights into what is fast-becoming a major growth area of a worldwide industry.
