Students will learn to understand the problem of and solutions for DUI, identify the DUI laws and related legal issues, identify the signs of alcohol or drug impairment, conduct a DUI traffic stop, follow the three-phase process of a DUI contact, demonstrate proficiency in conducting the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, make an arrest decision based on specific clues, accurately complete the required documentation for a DUI arrest, and provide clear and convincing evidence of DUI in court testimony.
