Catalog description

This course investigates basic content, pedagogy, and the importance of math and science in an elementary education program. How students learn math and science and effective strategies, including problem solving, use of technology, hands-on inquiry, and addressing diversity will be stressed. Reflection on self, on teaching and on student learning and differences will be emphasized. Current curriculum trends will be explored and lessons will be developed based on national and state standards.
